The first Sunday in October in the UK is designated as 'Silver Sunday' the national day for celebrating older people. This years it is the 4th October.

Whilst at this time events are difficult to hold, loneliness does not go away. Over 1 million older people say that they can go for weeks without seeing someone.....please checking in with loved ones, friends or neighbours who you know not just this Sunday. but always.
