James Sunderland backs VisitEngland accessibility campaign

James Sunderland backs VisitEngland accessibility campaign to make the UK the most accessible tourism destination in Europe by 2025.

Research in 2018 showed 430,000 British adults with an impairment did not take a domestic trip in the last 12 months due to the lack of accessibility provision.

VisitEngland provides direction and support to businesses and destinations on harnessing the valuable and growing accessible tourism market with a dedicated section of guidance and resources on their Business Advice Hub at www.visitengland.org/access

He said:

A lack of accessibility provision could be costing British business £116m in tourism revenue. To make the UK the most accessible country in Europe by 2025 I encourage local tourism businesses to visit the VisitEngland Business Advice Hub: www.visitbritain.org/business-advice/make-your-business-accessible
